Nikon Ambassador and Zoo Miami’s Communications Director, Ron Magill, will return to Kendall Camera Club for Program Night on Thursday, October 27. A favorite of Kendall Camera Club, Ron will be giving a presentation on his recent trip to Cuba and the wide variety of unique photo opportunities this island nation presents. From the cultural diversity of its warm and welcoming people to the natural wonders that are unique to the country, he hopes to inspire a greater appreciation for Cuba and hopefully a better understanding for the struggles it is facing and the hope it has for the future.
Ron Magill is one of only 24 Nikon Ambassadors which are some of the most talented and influential visual artists working in the business today. Having worked with wildlife for over 30 years, he is a wildlife expert, photographer, and the Communications Director of Zoo Miami. He makes regular television appearances on programs including “National Geographic Explorer”, the Discovery Networks, the “Today Show”, “The Late Show with David Letterman, “CBS This Morning”, “Dateline”, CNN; and Spanish language shows “Sabado Gigante” and “Despierta America”. He has won three Emmy Awards for his work on the nature documentary programs: “Dreams of Alaska”. In addition to traveling to Africa over 40 times, he has also traveled extensively to India and Tropical America.
