As a bonus, we'll start our field trip by visiting the Frost Art Museum. On exhibit are the photographs of Gary Monroe - famous for documenting the ethnic concentration of elderly Jewish people in South Beach in the 1980s. The photographer produced a documentary film on life in South Beach and curated a vintage collection of photographs of Miami for the Miami Public Library. The exhibit is called “South Beach". The Frost Art Museum's Permanent Collection consists of a broad array of art objects from ancient cultural artifacts to contemporary works of art.

We'll meet at the Frost Art Museum at 10 AM.  The easiest place to park is in the gold garage (see map below) where they have metered parking for $1.00 per hour.  The art museum building is visible when exiting the garage.

After the museum visit, we'll walk around the FIU campus photographing the various aspects of its modern architecture and structures. The university is known for its unique structures with magnificent glass windows. Coincidentally, our next Photo Challenge happens to be "glass".
