- DESCRIPTION AND SETTINGS : This is the Harpy eagle. It is found almost exclusively in Panama where there is a sanctuary for them. This one decided to pose for me without any fuss and stood in the best place for a picture. It was a bit of a tricky shot since there was a net around the enclosure.
- Judge's Critique: Although a little more contrast and saturation would make this an even more engaging photo, the textures created by the feathers against the out-of-focus background are really interesting
