Create Your Own Time-Lapse Templates for Lightroom Classic

Five years ago, I made a video about creating time-lapses solely in Lightroom Classic using the Slideshow Module. It was an experiment in pushing the boundaries of what Lightroom could feasibly do, and over the years it has garnered over 175K views, which was completely unintentional, but a very welcome surprise. What To Do If You See “The File Could Not Be Found” Message in Lightroom Classic

If you see this message (as shown above) when you jump over to the Develop module, it just means Lightroom has lost track of the original high-res image. Lightroom still has the thumbnail preview in its catalog (which is why you see an image on screen at all), but you can’t edit it without the original image (or at the very least, a Smart Preview, but this one doesn’t have either). I dragged the folder of images from my hard drive onto iCloud, but Lightroom is still looking for it on my computer. Here’s how to fix it fast: STEP ONE: If...

Alabama Hills National Scenic Area

The Alabama Hills National Scenic Area is located near the base of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and a couple miles east of the small town of Lone Pine, California. Dozens of natural arches are within easy walking distance from any of the trailheads. If some of these vistas look familiar, that might be because this area is a favorite location for Hollywood movies and television programs. To the west of the Alabama Hills are the mighty Sierra Nevada mountain range and Mount Whitney, the tallest mountain peak in the contiguous United States. To the south of Whitney is Lone Pine Peak (centered in Mobius Arch in the photograph here), which is often mistaken for Mount Whitney because of how close...
