Travel Photography With a Different Perspective

Travel photography is perhaps one of the broadest genres of photography because of how it overlaps with almost every other kind. It encompasses a wide range of shooting styles and shooting scenarios to fulfill a simple goal, which is to illustrate and tell stories about a place. Because a particular place is always made up of various intersecting dimensions, there is no single approach or style that encapsulates travel photography. Go With The Flow

Liam Fields dropping over Spirit Falls while whitewater kayaking on the Little White Salmon River near White Salmon, Washington. To create this image, I rappelled over the edge of the gorge right next to Spirit Falls and waited for the kayaker to drop over the waterfall. Last Frame: Nature’s Sun Hat

Photo By Geert Weggen “Many red squirrels visit my garden here in the middle of Sweden on a daily basis. I put out food and wait for them,” says Geert Weggen. “They’re used to me and the camera, which makes it easier to capture images of them. I put some sunflower seeds under the flower in the moss. Eating small seeds makes them stand in postures for a longer time on places where I hope to capture them. Because they see me daily, it makes it easy to approach them and change something in the scene without them running away.” Nikon D7100, Sigma 150-500mm F5-6.3 AF APO DG OS HSM at 300mm. Exposure: 1/250 sec., ƒ/8, ISO 400. See more of...

Landscape Photography in Extremely Wet Conditions

I found a solution against the limitations it imposed on my photography, and I share it with you in this article. [ Read More ]Original link(Originally posted by Michael Breitung)
