FEBRUARY 9, 2023 - From Sunset to Sunrise

Submit up to two images taken from sunset to sunrise and anything in between.
Sunrise, Sunset and Night Photography provide more dramatic effects than any other time of day. 
Panoramas, bracketed and long exposure images are just some examples that can be used for this challenge. Show us your creativity.

This Photo Challenge invites participants to explore the captivating world of liquids through their photographs. This challenge focuses on capturing the beauty, dynamism, and unique properties of various liquids in visually compelling ways. Members are encouraged to experiment with different types of liquids, such as water, oil, milk, or even colorful beverages, and showcase their creative interpretations.

Examples/suggestions:

  1. Liquid Motion: Photographs that freeze the motion of liquids in mid-action, capturing splashes, drops, or ripples. This theme emphasizes the dynamic and energetic nature of liquids.

  2. Reflections and Refractions: Exploring the way liquids interact with light and produce stunning reflections or refractions. Participants can experiment with glass, mirrors, or other reflective surfaces to create captivating and abstract imagery.

  3. Colorful Liquids: Highlighting the vibrant and diverse colors of different liquids. Participants can experiment with mixing liquids, using food coloring, or capturing the natural hues of fruits or flowers immersed in liquid.

  4. Textures and Patterns: Exploring the unique textures and patterns created by liquids. This theme encourages participants to observe and capture the intricate details and surface tensions of liquids.

  5. Liquid Abstractions: Using liquids as a medium for abstract and surreal compositions. Participants can experiment with various techniques like macro photography, long exposures, or manipulating liquids to create intriguing and artistic images.
