Photo Challenge Themes for the Period of August 2018 to July 2019


 August 09, 2018 -OPEN
Anything goes, open up your imagination and creativity.


September 13, 2018 - REFLECTIONS
Take an image that captures the reflection of a person, animal or object using any type of reflective surfaces such as water, windows, metals or mirrors. The reflective surface may also be used to create an abstract image.

 October 11, 2018 - FILLING THE FRAME
This theme requires the photographer to frame the subject such that it becomes the most significant portion of the photograph.
It requires getting closer to the subject through the use of a zoom lens or physically moving closer.
 November 8, 2018 - OPEN
Anything goes, open up your imagination and creativity.

December 13, 2018 - NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY
Images must be captured outdoors between dusk and dawn. Photographers may use artificial lighting and long exposure settings.

January 10, 2019 - SHADOWS
Take a photograph using light – artificial or natural - to cast a shadow or to create a silhouette of your subject.
The shadow (or silhouette) can itself be the subject of the photograph.

 February 14, 2019 - LEADING LINES
Your image must contain leading lines that lead the viewer's eye to another point in the image or out of the frame entirely.
Anything with a definitive line can be used including fences, bridges, street lines, and shorelines.

March 14, 2019 - OPEN MONOCHROME
Produce a photograph of any subject, developed or executed in black and white or in varying tones of only one color.
 April 11, 2019 - FORGOTTEN OR ABANDONED
Take a photograph of an abandoned, decaying object or crumpled structure indicating a bygone era (no people or animals)
Some examples include old homes, barns, old windows, and rusted objects.

May 09, 2019 -5 SECONDS OR LONGER LONG EXPOSURE  
Take a photograph where exposure is accomplished by using a longer shutter speed, (5 – seconds or more) to achieve motion blur or movement. Long exposures can be used to blur the water in oceans or waterfalls, to blur the movement of people or animals or to accentuate the movement of stars across the night sky.  

June 13, 2019 - OPEN
 Anything goes, open up your imagination and creativity.

July 11, 2019 - WET
Take a photograph of anything that is “wet”. For example, people, animals, vegetations, structures, vehicles, etc.
The photo must show the droplets, from rain or any water source or be a wet surface such as a wet road.
Oceans, rivers or any permanent body of water do not qualify
